STEAMtalks Biomass : Increasing Biomass Co - Firing Capacity in PLN Coal - Fired Power Plants | Collaborated with PLN Nusantara Power
STEAMtalks #3 returned with a compelling theme, “STEAMtalk Biomass: Increasing Biomass Co-Firing Capacity in PLN Coal-Fired Power Plants”, held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta. This impactful event was a collaboration between PLN Nusantara Power, Tsinghua University, and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), aiming to accelerate the energy transition through the implementation of biomass as a sustainable renewable energy source. The session provided a valuable platform for cross-national knowledge sharing on biomass co-firing in coal-fired power plants managed by PLN.
Distinguished speakers from Indonesia and China joined the session, including Prof. Hairui Yang from Tsinghua University; Prof. Ir. Ari Darmawan Pasek, Ph.D. from ITB; Mochamad Soleh, General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) – Electricity Research and Development Center; I Wayan Arimbawa Yoga Sedana, Senior Manager at PLTU Adipala – PT PLN Indonesia Power; Ardi Nugroho, Vice President of Technology Development at PT PLN Nusantara Power; Wan Ping, President Director of PT Datong Jaya Indonesia; and Bayu Aji Prakoso, S.Si, MBA, Director of Technology at PT Datong Jaya Indonesia. The discussion was moderated by Muhammad Hariyadi Setiawan, Director of PT LAPI ITB.
