Driving Coal Feeder Reliability: Datong Shares Anti Blocking Best Practices at PLN Nusantara Power PGD
On 3–4 June 2026, PLN Nusantara Power through the HSSE and Reliability (REL) function organized the Peer Group Discussion (PGD) Coal Feeder Penanganan Anti Blocking in Jakarta. The event was initiated in response to several operational incidents related to coal feeder systems, where coal blocking and plugging were identified as recurring root causes affecting plant reliability and operational continuity. The discussion brought together representatives from various PLN Nusantara Power generating units, including UP Indramayu and UP Punagaya, alongside technical experts and strategic partners to exchange knowledge, evaluate operational experiences, and identify practical solutions for preventing similar occurrences in the future. Through presentations, technical discussions, and experience-sharing sessions, participants explored approaches to improving coal handling performance while strengthening safety and reliability standards across power generation facilities.
As a trusted provider of Anti Blocking solutions for coal handling systems, PT Datong Jaya Indonesia was invited to contribute to the discussion by presenting the Standard O&M Rotary Anti Blocking System, based on the operational manual and field implementation experience developed through various projects. During the session, Datong shared technical insights regarding the design philosophy, operation procedures, maintenance strategies, and best practices that support the effectiveness of Rotary Anti Blocking systems in minimizing coal plugging issues within coal feeders and related equipment. The company also participated in discussions concerning the development and refinement of operational work instructions (IK O&M Rotary Anti Blocking) that can be adopted across PLN Nusantara Power generating units. By sharing practical experiences from actual installations and operational support activities, Datong demonstrated its commitment not only as an equipment supplier but also as a long-term technical partner dedicated to ensuring optimal system performance, operational reliability, and user confidence throughout the lifecycle of the equipment.
For Datong Jaya Indonesia, participation in this forum represents an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration with PLN Nusantara Power and contribute to the continuous improvement of coal handling operations across Indonesia’s power generation sector. The company believes that successful implementation of Anti Blocking technology depends not only on product quality but also on proper operation, maintenance practices, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support for end users. Insights gained from the discussions with plant operators, maintenance teams, and reliability specialists will be valuable for further enhancing technical services, training programs, and future product development. Moving forward, Datong remains committed to supporting PLN Nusantara Power through reliable Anti Blocking solutions, responsive technical assistance, and continuous innovation aimed at improving plant availability, reducing operational disruptions, and helping users achieve safer and more efficient power plant operations. Through strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing initiatives such as this PGD, Datong seeks to deliver sustainable value that extends beyond equipment supply and contributes directly to the long-term reliability and performance of Indonesia’s coal-fired power generation facilities.
