Quality Starts Before Delivery: Datong Jaya Indonesia Conducts FAT for PLTU Pacitan & Pulang Pisau
As part of its commitment to ensuring the quality and readiness of power plant spare parts before delivery, PT Datong Jaya Indonesia conducted a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at its warehouse for two major power plant units. The first FAT was carried out on 27 July for PLTU UP Pacitan, focusing on the inspection of a Gearbox Coal Mill, while the second was conducted on 29 July for PLTU UP Pulang Pisau, focusing on the supplied Air Preheater (APH) Tubes. The FAT serves as an important stage before the materials are delivered to their respective units, allowing the user to directly inspect and verify the condition of the supplied materials. For the UP Pacitan project, the inspection covered the physical condition of the gearbox, dimensional conformity with the existing equipment, and overall material readiness to ensure it meets the required specifications. Meanwhile, for UP Pulang Pisau, the inspection focused on the physical condition of the APH tubes, production quality, tube length and thickness, and the overall condition of the materials prior to shipment. Through this process, Datong provides the user with greater confidence that the supplied spare parts have been properly checked and are ready for installation and operation.
Datong Jaya Indonesia’s involvement in these FAT activities reflects its role not only as a supplier, but also as a partner that supports the user throughout the preparation stage of the project. For UP Pacitan, Datong supplies the Coal Mill Gearbox as an authorized agent for the OEM, Shanghai Electric Group (SEC). The supply process is supported by technical coordination and inspection to ensure that the replacement equipment is compatible with the existing system. Following the FAT, Datong will also provide supervision during the installation process, with direct support from the SEC team, to help ensure that the installation is carried out properly and in accordance with the required technical procedures. For UP Pulang Pisau, Datong’s experience in supplying APH Tube materials supports the inspection process by ensuring that each tube is checked carefully before shipment. These activities demonstrate the effort behind every supply—from material preparation and quality inspection to coordination with the user and OEM—to ensure that the products delivered are not only compliant with the required specifications, but also ready to support reliable power plant operations.
