Strengthening Quality Through Factory Visits: Datong Jaya Indonesia's Commitment to Project Procurement Excellence

As 2026 begins, Datong Jaya Indonesia marked a significant milestone with the grand opening of its new warehouse and workshop—an important step in strengthening operational readiness and quality control standards. This development reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing project execution and procurement performance from the earliest preparation stages. Following its inauguration, the warehouse and workshop immediately became the venue for a series of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and factory visit activities throughout January 2026. These engagements provided stakeholders with direct visibility into technical readiness, material handling, and functional testing prior to deployment, setting the tone for a strong start to the year.

The factory visit series commenced on 8 January 2026, when Datong Jaya Indonesia welcomed representatives from PLN NP Indramayu for a Factory Acceptance Test related to the Modul Controller ESP and CO Sensor projects. Attendees included personnel from Engineering, Instrumentation, and Procurement divisions, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation from both technical and operational perspectives. During the visit, Datong facilitated a sequence of function tests, power tests, load and no-load tests, as well as detailed physical inspections and part verification. Conducted within Datong’s warehouse and workshop, these activities enabled stakeholders to gain direct visibility into equipment readiness and compliance with project specifications prior to site installation.

The commitment to transparency and collaboration continued with a factory and site visit conducted on 21 January 2026 for PLN IP Suralaya, in relation to the SC to BC project. This activity was carried out together with KSO partner PT Sentratek Adi Prestasi (SAP), involving inspections at both Datong Jaya Indonesia’s warehouse and workshop as well as the partner’s facilities. The visit emphasized the importance of alignment across all parties involved, particularly in maintaining consistent quality standards, material readiness, and technical coordination. Through this collaborative process, Datong demonstrated its ability to integrate internal preparation capabilities with partner operations, supporting a cohesive and well-managed project execution framework.

Further reinforcing its quality assurance practices, Datong Jaya Indonesia conducted a Factory Acceptance Test on 26 January 2026 for PLN IP Holtekamp, focusing on physical inspections and part verification for procurement and reverse engineering of dust control systems. This visit highlighted the importance of early-stage verification in ensuring engineering accuracy and procurement reliability. By enabling detailed inspections within a controlled warehouse and workshop environment, Datong helped ensure that components met technical requirements before mobilization. Such preparation supports risk mitigation, reduces the potential for rework, and contributes to smoother implementation during the construction and commissioning phases.

Through these factory visits and FAT activities, Datong Jaya Indonesia continues to position quality assurance as a fundamental part of long-term project success. Direct engagement with clients during these sessions allows for early validation, open communication, and timely resolution of technical considerations—elements that are essential in complex power plant projects. Moving forward into 2026, the company remains focused on embedding quality from the earliest stages of preparation, ensuring that project execution and procurement processes are supported by thorough testing and readiness. With consistent factory visit practices, Datong Jaya Indonesia strengthens reliability, alignment, and performance across its collaborations in the energy sector.
